Welcome

Olive OilsIberialba specialise in Spanish extra virgin olive oil and fine food produce from Spain, Portugal and Scotland. We were formed in 2005 as an import/export company that focuses on promoting pure, natural food produce originating from these three countries.

Our extra virgin olive oil suppliers have achieved recognition under the "Denomination of Origin" standard. This means that the olives are all produced in that locality and conform to strict quality standards.
The quality of these Spanish extra virgin olive oils are highly regarded for their flavour and purity; they are also beneficial to our health by assisting the digestion and preventing cardiovascular ailments.

Olive OilsIberialba is based in the Northern Highlands and Islands of Scotland with a small warehouse facility in Inverness.
We have specially selected, from the Cordoba province of Andalucia, some of the worlds finest olive oils and extra virgin olive oils from the renowned denominations Priego and Baena.
Our current stock of extra virgin olive oils are very distinct and of the highest quality. The elements of taste to look out for are fruitiness, bitterness and pepperiness. You may also notice an herbaceous, green-grassy taste with sublime overtones of almond.

Initially Iberialba is marketing direct to customers although we also work with retailers involved in Mediterranean food and whole foods.
We intend to work closely with cooperatives and those producers and distributors committed to pure and natural, wholesome food.

As an ethical company Iberialba will adhere to values that are rightly of concern to an increasing number of consumers:

  • We will NOT promote or sell products that involve cruelty to animals.
  • We support co-operation and Fair Trade.
  • We are committed to sourcing pure, natural, health giving produce.

Extra virgin olive oil is a product with a life of its own. No two virgin olive oils are the same, their particular nature is defined by the climate, the soil, the variety of olive, the altitude at which the trees grow, rainfall levels. Together with an infinity of minor factors that give a special flavour and piquancy that characterises each oil.

Did you know...

  • Spain is the worlds largest producer and consumer of olive oil.
  • Spain grows 262 varieties of olive, in the south of Spain alone.
  • In Andalucia there are 165 million olive trees.

In fact this area of Spain is:

"Anointed, saturated, awash and delightfully drowning in the most flavourful golden fluid under the Mediterranean sun."
